It's not about the effort it took you to get here. Your days off are meant to be when you get away from work and relax properly. Just walking through those doors [or teleporting in, as Ashley's started doing recently] gets my brain in work mode, so if you're anything like me - and I've had to learn to hold my tongue when I'm mad at work too, so I think you might be - I'm guessing you're kind of thinking about checking a case file or picking up a practice sword while you're here.
