I don't believe we have met before, however I was told you run a Hero organization called "Aegis". I'm curious about it, how you run it and its relations with the government.

I may have a proposal as well, but without information about Aegis, I don't think it's fair to bring it to the table just yet.

Hello, Mr. Tempest. Yes, I'm a co-commander of Aegis Force, along with Darin Altway.

Aegis Force is a Registered hero group which protects civilian life and preserves security between imPorts and locals. We are authorized to patrol Maurtia Falls and investigate cases involving imPorts, metahumans, and/or national security. As well as patrols and investigations, we also respond to crises, mediate conflict, and offer imPort training.

We only accept Registered heroes because we're largely funded by the United States Department of Defense, as part of their national security, and we regularly report back to the government. We're somewhere between military and police, though we do take government assignments given to imPorts, cooperate with local emergency services, and encourage imPort cooperation with the government. We answer to both the government and the imPort community.

Do you need to know more before you can give me an idea of this proposal of yours?

So you are affiliated with the government. I'm curious as to what falls under "heroic" work, and perhaps the government has given you some guidelines?

Mostly what I mean by this contact is that imPorts arrive to this world hailing from all sort of very different places and are called "heroes" and told to go be heroes. However, there is no actual explanation as what that entails. Shouldn't there be some guidelines or rules to follow, some understanding what is expected of us? Because I was given nothing, and in my world, "Hero" has a very different meaning from all of what I've seen here.

I'm personally interested in becoming a Hero as it was asked of me but it's very difficult when we are given nothing in terms of what really to do. For example, if I capture someone I think is doing a crime, who even decides what I did is wrong or right? A tattoo saying "Registered" shouldn't be it, right?

Since you have connections to the government, I was wondering if they ever told you anything like guidelines and such.
